The hole ‘scratching post’ thing that Felix suggested is not really so out of character for Cosima. And well, Cosima is definetlly going to be a bitch to Delphine in the next episode (maybe couple of episodes) because that is how she deals with these things, apparently.
Remember in the 1. season when Cosima confronted Delphine about her working for Leekie?
The sentence “Yeah it showed.” was SO hurtful to Delphine after she admitted her feelings for Cosima.Remember the 2. season when Delphine asked Cosima if she can handel it?
“Yeah I can handle it, don’t be a bitch.”Also, Cosima locked Delphine out of the lab and said “I really don’t want you here.” after Cosima heared it was Kiras genetic material they used.
And then Cosimas reaction to the break-up in this season.
It seems that this is how Cosima deals with things that hurt her. She backlashes (kinda) full force. I don’t know the reason why. Maybe because she is full of hurt and don’t know where to put it. Maybe to protect herself. Maybe to let the other feel how hurtful the person has been to her. Maybe all of it and some.
But you know who came back everytime she got scratched by Cosimas backlash? Delphine. She came back and adapted Cosimas point of view.
(I do not want to make a judgement whoms view is the right one or fault it was that they were fighting in the first place. I just want to make an observation about the dynamic between these two once the fight is in motion.)
That seems to be their dynamic. And you know what would be nice, if this time Cosima takes the first step AND (a big emphasis on the and) that they finally have a real talk.
tl;dr: Yes, I want them back together. I mean, they ARE my OTP. Of course I am going to root for them. But I also acknowledge the circumstances they are in and that it might not work out. So, I am going to wait and see. (And of course make many playful speculations about the future because that is a fun thing to do ‘I am not in controll of the muse’).
Like, that Cosima sees how Delphine is suffering too. That she didn’t mean to harm her. That the decisions in war (as the episode titel of 306 suggests) are hard and unfortunally necessary. And you know that they both admit that they are scared and maybe not all decisions they made are right or pretty. Or something like that. I don’t know, just… talk.
You know it hurts me knowing that Delphine is back but she’s sad, lonely, and stressed out. Like, she’d be in the lab stealing glances at Cosima. Possibly hearing Cosima answer a call from Shay and it kills her because Cosima smiles at whatever Shay is saying. Like she’s keeping her promise, busting her ass out, like imagine if Topside knew what she’s doing, they will kill her. But to her it doesn’t matter, cause she just wants to keep Cosima safe and to find a cure. I just hope that no matter how tough Cosima acts around Delphine, Cosima would still look at her the way she did, also stealing glances when Delphine’s turned back an they both feel each other’s longing stares. I’m so deep into this trash yaknow.
