championcoolbreeze:

obfuscatingdeity:

the thing to realize here is that conservatives find the idea of paying workers a livable wage so absurd that they make hyperbolic comparisons like this

because fifteen dollars and hour and a hundred thousand dollars an hour both mean the same thing to them; more than you deserve

^That commentary is very important.

scottymouth:

Can we talk about this episode for a second?

The woman who plays Pepper, Naomi Grossman, had to channel this emotion without speaking. Now, let me remind you, Naomi Grossman is not actually what Elsa calls a “Pinhead.” Pepper’s appearance is done through prosthetics and makeup (she’s actually a vey pretty woman in real life).

The majority of Grossman’s superb acting in this episode was channeled through facial expressions and wordless sounds. Although Pepper does talk sometimes, she communicates primarily though body language and these various noises. As an audience, however, we’re still able to feel everything that this character feels.

People have declared this is one of the more emotional episodes of any AHS season, and it’s pretty amazing to think that a woman can say so much by saying so little. Look at Pepper’s face in the first GIF before she begins to shake Salty. Look at the pain in her eyes.

Ladies and gentlemen, that’s talent. I would not be opposed to Naomi Grossman receiving a supporting actress Emmy nomination for this episode.
