One of the most iconic movie kisses from the first Spider-Man film in which Mary-Jane pulls down Spider-Man's mask to kiss him upside down

This whole scene is reminiscent of The Lord of the Rings, with the forging of the ring. It also mirrors Frodo catching the One Ring on his finger in the Prancing Pony in The Fellowship of the Ring

The whole scene parodies Axel Foley's arrival in California in the film Beverly Hills Cop. Eddie Murphy who voices Donkey also played the title character Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop

The singer, model and actress Angelyne is well-known for her copious amounts of Billboards and the Fairy Godmother's carriage even parodies Angelyne's trademark pink Corvette

Remember the scene from Rocky Horror where they all get confused and say each others name?

In The Seven Year Itch Marylin Monroe's white dress is blown by a train while she tries to hold it down

Birth of the Xenomorph anyone?

Masked vigilante Zorro has a habit of carving his 'Z' initial on his enemies. Antonio Banderas who voices Puss in Boots also played Zorro in the films The Mask of Zorro and The Legend of Zorro

Maybe it's a thing among ginger tomcats to hate Mondays?

A song from the late 50's where a man takes a love potion and falls in love with everything he sees

Remember Flashpoint?

Like how they had Ed dress up in formalwear and badass basically on an annual basis.

How Ed and Donna went from zero to brotp in no time at all until she was needling him and calling him “Edward” and he gave her away at her wedding because they are both such sad lifer cops that Donna’s more a sibling to Ed than his actual brother is.

And Donna moved up the ranks FASTER THAN ED OR SAM even though she was warned there wasn’t much room for promotion when she signed on

How Donna’s S5 character arc situates her in this totally clasically male narrative and lets us have a story where her husband is a civilian who’s so out of his depth when violence comes to his door but he loves Donna and he thinks she’s strong and amazing and a hero so he’ll be brave and love her anyway, and she is cool, collected, authoritative, and calm in her wedding dress and bloodstained hands.

DONNA

basically does anyone remember Flashpoint? I miss Flashpoint.

OTP: "Right now, are you my teammate or my husband?"

(Sometimes I remember that Flashpoint is gone and never coming back and I get sad all over again.)

My favorite thing about Benson? I think my favorite thing is that she’s a lioness … she’s a mama bear. She will protect you at all costs. It’s not that she doesn’t have fear, it’s that she feels the fear and does it anyway.

Don’t we all need an Olivia Benson in our lives?

"When I started playing Detective Olivia Benson, I began to get a lot of letters from viewers. I had gotten fan mail before, but these letters were different. They were coming from individuals who were disclosing histories of violence and abuse - a lot of them for the first time. I knew I had to do something, so I trained to become a rape crisis counselor, I joined Boards, I got involved. I was proud to be on a show that was brave enough to go into territory that no one was talking about, but I also knew I wanted to do more and play a larger role to help survivors heal and reclaim their lives. In 2004 I created the Joyful Heart Foundation with the mission to heal, educate, and empower survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse, and to shed light on the darkness surrounding these issues. I’m very proud to report that since we began, we’ve provided direct services to over 5,400 people, and that we’re determined to change the conversation about violence and abuse.” - Mariska Hargitay
